Community Based Fundraisers

The Gathering Place is regularly approached by people in the community who would like to raise money to support our mission.  In addition to the money we receive, each of these events also introduces new people to The Gathering Place. Get Cleveland Fit has partnered with The Gathering Place as part of the 2015 – New Year, New You – Transformation Challenge.  We will receive a portion of the registration fee collected from Get Cleveland Fit participants.  Don’t just make resolutions; make a difference this year – choose The Gathering Place and let’s Get Cleveland Fit!

Cleveland Cancer Awareness by Luna will be donating 5% of retail and online sales of their Cleveland Skyline shirts now through the end of the year to benefit The Gathering Place and as part of their campaign to raise cancer awareness.  Visit  Luna Team Shop. to learn more about their products and services.


“A Light in the Night” is an award winning product written and illustrated by Cleveland’s own author Sandy Murphy Richards. It includes a super soft plush with a light up tummy and board book. For every “A Light in the Night” sold at “A Light in the Fight”  one will be donated to benefit the Children’s Programs at The Gathering Place.

Breast Cancer Fund of  Ohio is dedicated to helping with the challenges of living while being treated for breast cancer. Through the sale of special Ohio license plates Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio provides grants to The Gathering Place and other organizations serving individuals diagnosed with breast cancer. Here is how you can help make a difference.


Lulu’s Yogurt with a Twist is a frozen yogurt shop in Hudson that offers a healthy choice for dessert.  They donate a percentage of profits to The Gathering Place throughout the year.  LuLu’s Yogurt with a Twist is Your Healthy Choice for fun and excitement.


Save Our Sisters Save our Sisters…Save our Selves (SOS SOS) was founded by Maureen Barrett and Kathy Gable creators of a unique line of jewelry custom-designed and exclusively supplied by Broestl and Wallis Fine Jewelers. Proceeds from the jewelry helps to support The Gathering Place.


The Rock Pile is a local landscape supply yard combined with a garden center and bird feeding specialty shop. Their program, Fundraising that Rocks is a year-round program that allows customers to designate a local organization to support through their purchases. A total of 5% before tax of every retail priced purchase will be donated to the cause or organization of the customer’s choosing. Just mention The Gathering Place, and we will receive 5% of your purchase price!


VANITYLAB Salon.Spa.Shop, 24945 Detroit Road Westlake, is the home of Sparkle, a year round artisan jewelry festival featuring the work of more than 50 local Cleveland artists.  Visit VANITYLAB to see all of the unique jewelry.  A portion of the proceeds from Sparkle benefits The Gathering Place.  Call 216-849-2636 for more information.
