Exercise classes can help address fatigue from cancer treatment, aid in improving strength, balance and endurance, and provide an overall sense of well-being. Classes are designed for different levels of ability and geared towards empowering individuals to move through our programs and out into the community. Support for these programs provided by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation.

Exercise for Bone Health

Introduction to TRX

TRX is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. This class will be modified for cancer survivors. No experience required.

Introduction to Dragon Boating

Learn the fundamentals of dragon boating for cancer survivors and their supporters. Official practice session begin in June. No experience necessary.

 Focus on the Core

A strong core includes training the muscles in your pelvis, lower back, hips and abdomen to work in harmony leading to better balance and stability. All exercise easily adapted for home or gym.

A Few Friendly Reminders

Exercise classes are open to individuals in treatment for cancer or coping with the side effects of treatment. Classes include resistance training using light weights, bands and balls, and strength equipment. Written medical authorization from your physician and a fitness assessment with staff member Beth Bennett are required before attending classes. Please note some special exercise classes are also available for a support person/family member and are noted as such in the program description.
