Addressing the Impacts of Cancer Related Cognitive Changes

'Chemo brain' is a term commonly used to describe thinking and memory problems that a patient with cancer may have during or after cancer treatment. Our understanding of cognitive impairments associated with cancer and cancer treatments is progressing. However, at this present time, there are no clear guidelines for managing cancer-related cognitive dysfunction. Kelly Hilborn will share her clinical skills and knowledge to improve functional abilities and quality of life by utilizing compensations, cognitive exercises, and mitigation to best optimize cognitive abilities for individuals suffering from cancer-related cognitive changes. Presenter: Kelly Hilborn, MA, CCC-SLP
