Race for the Place
Celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day
Every year, on the first Sunday in June, thousands come from near and far to Beachwood Place to participate in Race for the Place in support of The Gathering Place. The Race, a 5K and 1 Mile, is held annually on the first Sunday in June because it is National Cancer Survivors Day. It's a wonderful celebration of survivors and an opportunity to raise money to support the free programs and services provided at The Gathering Place to help children, teens, adults, individuals, families and friends cope while on the cancer journey.
The most fun way to participate in Race for the Place is to form a team. Whether small or large, teams help us raise more than $200,000 and bring thousands of people to Beachwood Place. Teams raise money by reaching out to family, friends, neighbors and colleagues asking them to join or donate to their team.
We are grateful to have University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center as presenting sponsor again this year. Looking forward to seeing you at Race for the Place on Sunday, June 2 at Beachwood Place, rain or shine. Visit our race website to start your team, join a team or make a donation.
