Connections: Support for Families Affected by Childhood Cancer

Has your child or teen been diagnosed with cancer?

No parent is ever prepared to hear that their child is battling a life threatening illness. Family life gets turned upside down. Parents may feel overwhelmed with information and have to manage as they navigate through treatment plans.

The Gathering Place provides a safe community, education, emotional support and activities for the whole family.

FAMILY SUPPORT

Take an hour off from cancer to bring back much needed family time. Receive support, guidance and education in navigating a child or teen's cancer diagnosis. Connect through fun activities as you explore feelings and develop family communication.

INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT

Child, teen and family specialists are available to meet with parents or other family members to discuss the unimaginable reality of a child or teen's cancer diagnosis.

ANIMAL CAMP

It's all about FUN! A special week-long camp experience where children (6 to 12 years of age) build confidence, make friends and participate in engaging activities.

The Gathering Place is available to help reduce stress through programs provided FREE of charge.

Please refrain from wearing perfumes and scented lotions while a The Gathering Place. Many people undergoing treatment are sensitive to smells and find it makes them feel ill. Thank you.
