No parent is ever prepared to hear that their child is battling a life threatening illness. Family life gets turned upside down. Parents may feel overwhelmed with information and have to manage as they navigate through treatment plans.
The Gathering Place provides a safe community, education, emotional support and activities for the whole family.
Take an hour off from cancer to bring back much needed family time. Receive support, guidance and education in navigating a child or teen's cancer diagnosis. Connect through fun activities as you explore feelings and develop family communication.
Child, teen and family specialists are available to meet with parents or other family members to discuss the unimaginable reality of a child or teen's cancer diagnosis.
It's all about FUN! A special week-long camp experience where children (6 to 12 years of age) build confidence, make friends and participate in engaging activities.
The Gathering Place is available to help reduce stress through programs provided FREE of charge.
"The Gathering Place has provided our family with different opportunities to help us engage as a family, cope with different emotions and participate in online activities. We have had cooking classes, dance parties and even virtual summer camp!" - Jennifer E.
