Young Adults

The Gathering Place helps support Young Adults whose lives have been interrupted by cancer. The Gathering Place offers a safe place to socialize and learn from other Young Adults with similar concerns who are at similar places in their lives. Participants gain the emotional support required to navigate an extraordinarily overwhelming experience.

Support Groups

Connect and build community with young adults (18-45) who have been diagnosed with cancer. Programs provide an opportunity for social networking and creative outlets to assist with coping. Meets the second Thursday of each month. Facilitator: Whitney Hadley, MA, MSW, LSW, OSW-C

Cancer Specific Support Groups

Support group for young women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s with breast cancer. Meets the first Tuesday of every month, 6:30-8:00pm. Facilitator: Susan Marinac, MSSA, LISW-S

Support Groups

Virtual drop-in for young adults (ages 18-45) with cancer for a time to check in with each other wherever you are! Facilitator: Whitney Hadley, MA, MSW, LSW, OSW-C

The Gathering Place provides a confidential, judgement-free zone. Whether you are 18, 27 or 39, our judgement-free zone will help reduce stress through the following programs provided free of charge:

Please refrain from wearing perfumes and scented lotions while a The Gathering Place. Many people undergoing treatment are sensitive to smells and find it makes them feel ill. Thank you.
