After 3News anchor and reporter Danielle Wiggins underwent breast cancer surgery last spring, the station launched a “Do It For Danielle” campaign to raise awareness about the disease. Since Danielle returned to work in May, 3News has done numerous stories to encourage cancer screenings and self-checks and to open up the conversation so those affected by cancer know they’re not alone. This 3News series gave great exposure to our services here at The Gathering Place; Danielle actually visited our Beachwood facility to tape a news story with her longtime mentor, Regina Brett. During October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 3News is resuming its Do It For Danielle series, and we’re proudly collaborating with the station to offer a Do It For Danielle pink ribbon.
