Becky and Kevin Hopp’s Grateful Heart Yoga & Wellness has been voted Best Yoga Studio in Cleveland Magazine’s 2026 Best of Cleveland Reader Picks. At The Gathering Place, Becky generously shares her talents by leading sound baths for participants.

A sound bath is a relaxation experience in which participants listen to the resonant tones of crystal singing bowls. Becky Hopp, a certified sound healer, offers these sessions at The Gathering Place as an opportunity to pause, rest and ease tension.

Becky and her husband, Kevin, describe themselves as partners in life and in their work. A cancer survivor and open-heart warrior, Becky says her health journey deepened her gratitude for each day and inspired her to help others. Together, they created Grateful Heart Yoga & Wellness as a place where people can slow down, feel supported and find community. Today, Becky brings that same care to The Gathering Place through the sound baths she offers to participants.

During a sound bath, Becky plays crystal singing bowls that produce sustained tones and gentle vibrations. Participants do not need to do anything except get comfortable and listen. For someone coping with cancer or supporting a loved one, the session can offer a welcome chance to pause, rest and focus on the present moment.

In celebrating their Best of Cleveland recognition, Becky and Kevin thanked everyone who has practiced with them, supported their teachers, brought a friend or helped make their studio a welcoming place. We’re grateful that Becky extends that spirit of care to The Gathering Place. Congratulations to Becky, Kevin and the Grateful Heart Yoga & Wellness community on this well-deserved honor!

Creative arts and meditation programs at The Gathering Place offer people affected by cancer free ways to express themselves, connect with others and care for their emotional well-being alongside medical care.
