Rising Leaders Council

The Rising Leaders Council is a remarkable group of young professionals committed to the mission of The Gathering Place. They harness their talent and passion to become the organization’s next generation of leaders through fundraising, friend-raising, volunteering and empowering professional development.

Their fundraising initiatives and events raise more than $25,000 annually in support of The Gathering Place’s programs and services offered free of charge to those impacted by cancer.

Their objectives are:

  • Partner with The Gathering Place to engage and attract the next generation of leaders to support the organization
  • Plan and host a signature fundraising event and sports related fundraisers that will provide financial support for the organization
  • Volunteer and participate in The Gathering Place special events
  • Raise awareness about The Gathering Place in the community
  • Enhance professional development, leadership skills and knowledge about board membership

If you are interested in volunteering with the Rising Leaders Council, please submit an application here. For more information or for questions, contact Simone Swanson at swanson@touchedbycancer.org or at 216.455.1522.
