Grief & Loss

The death of a loved one can bring about emotional, social, spiritual and physical challenges. Our cancer support groups for adults and families are created to help cope with the impact of grief. In addition to our cancer support groups, The Gathering Place provides one-to-one support for adults as well as teens and children.

Bridges Grief Group for Families

Group for parents, children and teens who have experienced a death of an adult loved one from cancer. Includes expressive, age specific, group activities and a concurrent support group for parents. Meets the first Monday of every month, 6:30-7:30pm. Facilitator: Taylor Buss, MSW, LISW-S, OSW-C

Grief & Loss

Support group for adults and families, to help cope with the impact of grief. There are both daytime and evening groups that meet monthly, either the second Tuesday, 2:00-3:30pm or 6:30-8:00pm or the fourth Tuesday, 6:30-8:00pm. Grief & Loss

Support group for adults who have experienced the death of a loved one from cancer more than a year ago. Meets the third Wednesday of every month, 11:00-12:00pm. Facilitator: Mary Fisher Bornstein, LISW-S
