Support Groups

Individuals who are coping with a cancer diagnosis come together for mutual support and an opportunity to discuss issues important to older adults. Meets the third Friday of every month, 11:00am-12:30pm. Facilitator: Brittani Davis, MA, LPCC-S, LICDC

Cancer Specific Support Groups

Monthly support group for women diagnosed with gynecological cancers (non-ovarian). This support group provides a safe space for women to talk about their diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic cancers, side effects, late effects and related thoughts and emotions. Each person's cancer story is different. It can be healing to learn from others, to ask questions and to share ways they have coped. Meets the third Thursday of every month, 6:30-7:30pm. Cancer Specific Support Groups

Support group for young women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s with breast cancer. Meets the first Tuesday of every month, 6:30-8:00pm. Facilitator: Susan Marinac, MSSA, LISW-S

Support Groups

Connect and build community with young adults (18-45) who have been diagnosed with cancer. Programs provide an opportunity for social networking and creative outlets to assist with coping. Meets the fourth Thursday of each month. Facilitators: Whitney Hadley, MA, MSW, LSW, OSW-C

Learn and practice basic meditation techniques to manage stress in the comfort of your own home or in-person at our Beachwood and Westlake locations. Meets virtually or in-person every Monday. Facilitator: Eileen Coan, MA, MLS

The flavor of a lemon is a bit sour until a little sweetness is added! Join us for a discussion on reframing the negative and looking to the positive with new growth possibilities. We'll explore growing lemon scented plants and how the fragrance can be uplifting and energizing. Participants will plant lemon scented plants to take home. Integrative oncology is a patient-centered, evidence-informed field of cancer care that utilizes mind and body practices, natural products, and/or lifestyle modifications from different traditions alongside conventional cancer treatment. Dr. Umeda will provide resources including how to find a practitioner as well as an update on the latest research in integrative oncology.
