Support Groups

Monthly group for individuals in the LGBTQ+ community with any type of cancer. Meets the third Tuesday of every month, 6:00-7:00pm. Facilitator: Brittani Davis, MA, LPCC-S, LICDC

Support Groups

A monthly group for those who have completed cancer treatment. Topics include: fear of recurrence, managing anxiety, work issues, long term side effects, nutrition, exercise, relationships & more. Meets the third Monday of every month, 6:30-8:00pm, in Westlake and the second Thursday of every month, 6:30-8:00pm, in Beachwood. Facilitator: Whitney Hadley, MA, MSW, LSW, OSW-C

Art, Music & Meditation

Experience the power of art in this program that will reduce anxiety and promote relaxation and wellness. Bring a bag lunch. Facilitator: Susan Marinac, MSSA, LISW-S

Cancer Specific Support Groups

Monthly support for those diagnosed with lung cancer. This support group will help the individual diagnosed with lung cancer feel more connected, gain information and provide a safe place to express feelings. Meets in Westlake on the fourth Tuesday of every month, 2:00-3:30pm. Facilitator: Susan Marinac, MSSA, LISW-S

Information & Education

Getting a good night’s rest is essential to function well the next day, yet getting to sleep, and staying asleep, isn’t easy for many people. Anxiety and insomnia are common problems that may hamper your ability to fall asleep. We will explore anxiety and insomnia, their symptoms, how they can affect each other, and what you can do to treat, manage, and potentially stop your anxiety or insomnia from disrupting your sleep. Presented in partnership with Southwest General Heath Center. Speaker: Dr. Dipali Desai, Family Medicine/Integrative Psychiatrist Southwest General Health Center

Exercise

Held Thursdays, 9:00-10:00am at our Wellness Center

Sign up for an open gym time to come and workout on your own. Participants must first attend an orientation and complete a health and fitness screening. This program is limited to 6 participants per hour.
