Learn how weaving can be a tool for coping with cancer. Participants will create a small weaving that can be turned into a wall hanging, necklace or keychain while enjoying the benefits of working with tactile materials. Join us in a discussion to dispel myths about breast cancer in Black and Brown communities and learn the facts about how to navigate screening for breast cancer and managing a possible breast cancer diagnosis. Children, Teen & Family

Workshop for children and teens who have an adult family member with cancer. Utilizing art, play and discussion, children, teens and their parents interact with families in similar situations. Meets the second Monday of every month, 6:30-7:30pm. Facilitator: Adelle Gates, MA, CCLS

Support Groups

Join a close-knit support group for people coping with cancer. All levels of knitting experience are welcome. Meets 2:00-3:30pm the second Tuesday of the month in Beachwood and the fourth Monday of the month in Westlake. Facilitator: Whitney Hadley, MA, MSW, LSW

Hear from a licensed attorney about navigating health insurance, COBRA, Affordable Care Act, Disability, etc. when dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Presenter: Tyra L. Taylor, Esq.

Monthly group for individuals in the LGBTQ+ community with any type of cancer. Meets the third Thursday of every month, 12:00-1:00pm. Facilitator: Brittani Davis, MA, LPCC-S, LICDC
