Exercise

Pair exercise and nutrition together in a natural, outdoor setting. Learn the importance of balance as it relates to movement and eating. And, if you plan on participating in the annual Race for the Place, you can use the Hike & Snack program as an opportunity to train for the walk or 5k! Integrative oncology is a patient-centered, evidence-informed field of cancer care that utilizes mind and body practices, natural products, and/or lifestyle modifications from different traditions alongside conventional cancer treatment. Dr. Umeda will provide resources including how to find a practitioner as well as an update on the latest research in integrative oncology. Just as a group of butterflies is called a Kaleidoscope, this monthly workshop is for young families to reflect, build community, and learn skills to process grief together. Meets the second Saturday of each month. Facilitator: Adelle Gates, MA, CCLS

Support Groups

Monthly group for individuals in the LGBTQ+ community with any type of cancer. Meets the third Tuesday of every month, 6:00-7:00pm. Facilitator: Brittani Davis, MA, LPCC-S, LICDC

A monthly group for those who have completed cancer treatment. Topics include: fear of recurrence, managing anxiety, work issues, long term side effects, nutrition, exercise, relationships & more. Cancer Specific Support Groups

Monthly support for those diagnosed with lung cancer. This support group will help the individual diagnosed with lung cancer feel more connected, gain information and provide a safe place to express feelings.
