Support Groups

A monthly group for those who have completed cancer treatment. Topics include: fear of recurrence, managing anxiety, work issues, long term side effects, nutrition, exercise, relationships & more. Facilitator: Sydney Beeman, MA, NCC. LPC

After treatment for lung cancer, you may experience shortness of breath and have less endurance. This session will focus on the importance of a multi-disciplinary rehab approach for lung cancer survivors to increase quality of life. Presenter: Mary Vargo, MD

Lymphedema does not just impact individuals treated for breast cancer. This session will focus on the common cancers that may cause lymphedema in the lower body. Diagnosis, treatment, and management of lymphedema will be discussed, and resources will be provided. Presenter: Robert Hundt OTR/L, CHT, CLT, COMT-UE, Hand Program Coordinator

You're invited to attend MetroHealth's 4th Annual Cancer Center Survivorship Symposium: Building Your Toolbox, a free in person and virtual event for cancer survivors and their families. Presentation and resources for: Emotional support, Exercise, Caregiver Support, Nutrition, Creative Arts Therapies and more.
